A new HVAC system consists of three primary components: the condenser (located outside), the evaporator coil, and the furnace (located in the attic). These components work in unison to provide heating and cooling capabilities and circulate air throughout your home. A standard equipment replacement includes all these components, but does not include ductwork. How do you determine the size of my AC?
When providing a quote for a new AC system, we primarily base the sizing on your current equipment. If you've made structural modifications to your home, such as room additions, we recommend conducting a Manual J calculation to accurately determine your home's heat load and properly size your system. How long do AC systems last?
HVAC systems typically have a lifespan of 10-15 years. Evaporator coils generally last 5-7 years, while condensers can last 10-15 years with proper maintenance. In Southeast Texas, furnaces may last up to 18-20 years due to limited use. Some smaller components may wear out more quickly, but prompt repairs can help protect the overall system. What warranties do you offer?
Texan Mechanical AC & Heating provides a 10-year manufacturer warranty and a one-year labor warranty on repairs. Our members receive an extended two-year warranty on repairs. According to HomeGuide, AC repairs typically take between one and eight hours, depending on the specific issue. What financing options are available?

For optimal efficiency, we recommend servicing your HVAC system twice per year. We suggest scheduling a cooling tune-up in spring before the summer heat arrives, and a heating tune-up in fall prior to the brief but unpredictable winters experienced in the Houston area.
